BIPOC Health & Wellness Fair Recap
On Saturday, August 31st, PHA Clubhouse had the privilege of attending the BIPOC Health & Wellness Community Resource Fair, an empowering event hosted by Tamica Gant, CEO of Abundance Health, LLC. Held at the Eastside Community Center in Tacoma, the fair was a vibrant gathering aimed at promoting health, wellness, and connection within the BIPOC community.
The event featured a diverse range of vendors, organizations, and resources, offering attendees access to wellness services, educational tools, and opportunities to strengthen their support networks. From mental health support to physical wellness resources, the fair highlighted the importance of holistic approaches to health.
At our PHA Clubhouse booth, we shared information about the employment, education, housing, and advocacy services we provide for individuals with mental health challenges. We were thrilled to connect with attendees, answer questions, and raise awareness about how PHA Clubhouse supports community wellness.
Several Clubhouse members stopped by to show their support, including Cardie, who helped staff the booth and engaged visitors with warmth and enthusiasm. It was inspiring to see so many people eager to learn about the resources available in Tacoma, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to share our mission at such a meaningful event.
This fair wasn’t just about sharing resources—it was about creating a space where attendees could feel seen, supported, and empowered. Events like these remind us of the strength and resilience within our community and the importance of coming together to prioritize wellness for all.
A special thank you to Tamica Gant and Abundance Health, LLC, for hosting this incredible event, and to the Eastside Community Center for providing a welcoming space for the community. We’re looking forward to future opportunities to collaborate and connect with others in Tacoma!
