Building Digital Confidence at PHA Clubhouse: A Recap of Our Digital Literacy Classes
From November 18th to December 9th, PHA Clubhouse members had the opportunity to enhance their digital skills through a transformative four-week Digital Literacy Skills Class. Led by Caleb Wiswell, Digital Navigator from the Metropolitan Development Council (MDC), the classes provided hands-on learning experiences tailored to empower individuals in a technology-driven world.
The sessions covered a variety of essential topics, including navigating computer systems, understanding software applications, and utilizing online tools for both personal and professional growth. Members embraced the opportunity to ask questions, practice new skills, and explore the ways technology can simplify daily tasks and open doors to employment opportunities.
The classes weren’t just about learning how to use a computer—they were about building confidence. Members discovered how to use digital tools to create resumes, communicate effectively online, and access valuable resources. Caleb’s patient and engaging teaching style ensured that everyone, regardless of their starting point, felt supported and motivated to learn.
It was inspiring to watch our members grow in their digital confidence week by week. Whether mastering basic computer functions or exploring advanced features, the knowledge they gained is a game-changer for navigating the modern world.
A special thank you to Caleb and MDC for making this impactful program possible. Your dedication to equipping our community with essential skills is deeply appreciated. We look forward to continuing this series in the future, perhaps diving even deeper into advanced topics that build on the strong foundation established during these sessions.
At PHA Clubhouse, we’re committed to providing opportunities that support growth, independence, and well-being. Stay tuned for updates on future classes and programs!
